Wellio Privacy Policy

Wellio is an everyday wellness planning app. This policy explains what information Wellio stores on your device, what it sends to service providers when you choose to use cloud AI, and how you can remove locally stored information.

Information stored on your device

Wellio does not require an account. Your profile may contain your name, wellness goals, activity level, experience level, preferred activity duration and location, available equipment, dietary preference, cuisine preference, priorities, and foods to avoid. Wellio also stores the plans it creates, your schedules and reminder choices, and your activity completion status and progress history.

This information is stored in the app's private data area on your device. Wellio does not synchronize it to a Wellio server. Android notifications and scheduled reminders are handled on your device. Wellio does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.

Cloud AI is optional

Wellio's local planning features work without cloud AI. If you choose to enable cloud AI and request a plan or replacement, Wellio sends your planning preferences to Firebase AI Logic so Google can generate a response. The preference data may include your goals, activity and workout preferences, equipment, dietary and cuisine preferences, priorities, and foods to avoid. For a replacement, the request may also include the item being replaced and the reason you selected.

Wellio excludes your name and activity completion history from these AI requests. Generated responses are returned to the app and stored with your plans on your device. You can turn off cloud AI in Wellio to prevent future AI requests; this does not remove plans already saved on your device.

Firebase AI Logic routes requests to the Gemini API provider configured for the Firebase project. Wellio is currently configured to use the Gemini Developer API. Firebase AI Logic states that it does not itself store prompt and response data; retention and handling by the selected Gemini API provider are governed by that provider's applicable terms and privacy information. App Check in release builds may also use Google Play Integrity to verify the app before a protected request.

Information Wellio does not request

Wellio has no sign-in or account creation and does not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise location. Your name and completion history remain on your device and are not included in cloud AI requests.

Sharing and service providers

Wellio does not sell your personal information. When you choose cloud AI, the preference and request information described above is shared with Google through Firebase AI Logic and the configured Gemini API provider to generate the response. Google Play Integrity may process app integrity information for App Check in release builds. These providers process information under their applicable service terms and privacy policies.

Retention and deletion

Wellio keeps profile, plan, reminder, and progress information in local app storage until you clear Wellio's app storage or uninstall the app. Wellio does not provide a cloud account or keep a Wellio-hosted copy of this local data. Previously transmitted AI requests may be retained by the Gemini API provider according to the terms and retention policy applicable to the Firebase project; Wellio does not control that provider retention.

Security

Local app information is kept in Android's private app storage. Requests to Firebase services use the service's protected network connection. Keep your device protected with its screen lock and operating system updates. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

Wellio is designed for adults and is not intended for children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the latest version was published.
